UCLH Robotic surgery team complete 500 radical prostatectomies in a year
In November 2017, Greg and fellow consultants from the robotic urology team at UCLH achieved a record of 500 robotic radical prostatectomies in one UK centre in one year. This is the first time this has been done. Surgical outcomes are linked closely with the number of times a surgeon performs a particular operation. The team at UCLH are pioneering new techniques such as NeuroSAFE for use in the NHS. Our caseload continues to grow and in 2022 the UCLH team performed over 800 robotic radical prostatectomies.
